Barn Renovation and Extension
FFA were so pleased to assist this repeat client with proposals for the renovation and extension of the Grade II listed barn.
Following completion of their self-build property, the Wright House, designed by FFA, we were pleased to be asked to assist with the next project to renovate and extend a listed barn in Suffolk. Poorly converted in the 80's and damaged by floods, the barn needed extensive remodelling at ground floor to create social, open-plan living spaces and a generous master bedroom suite.
Planning and Listed Building consent was granted for modest extensions to the front and rear of the existing barn to improve the front entrance and circulation at ground floor and connectivity to the private, south-facing garden space. FFA assisted throughout the process to coordinate and discharge conditions and provide detailed construction information to include the new, traditionally crafted lead rolled roof to the Garden Room extension to the rear.
