Wright House
After renovating many properties, the client wanted to build a new home tailored to meet the needs of their family and lifestyle.
FFA were commissioned to collaborate with the client to develop a contemporary design for their new home. The opportunity enabled them to tailor the design to suit their aspirations, having remodeled and renovated several houses in the past but been unable to achieve the bespoke home they wanted.
The design provides flexible open plan spaces for entertaining and cozy, appropriately scaled spaces for relaxing. Openness and connectivity to the garden was key to ‘bring the outside in’ and integrate external spaces with the interior. The site is within the original curtilage of a listed farmhouse and converted barns and as such required a sensitive approach to meet the brief and deliver a contemporary, well-lit home. This required an iterative design process with the Local Planning Authority to gain support whilst delivering the clients the new home they hoped for.
